STITCHED UP STORIES:

Tammy Silvers - Sun, June 4 @ 4pm Eastern

Tammy Silvers has been teaching and quilting since 2000, and designing under the label Tamarinis. She enjoys working with almost any fabric, but her favorites are batiks, bold prints, and almost any fabric with words on it. These are the ones that will make her drool, and blow her budget! She even designs fabrics for Island Batik -- A perfect fit! She loves teaching and sharing her passion for quilting. Tammy visits different guilds, meets quilters across the country, and loves to see all the creativity that makes this such a fun world to be a part of.

JUNE CLASS: FAT QUARTER FUN WITH BEV

Thread Catcher Plus. Make this nifty item to hang by your sewing machine. It's a pincushion, a scrap/thread catcher with spots for small scissors, seam ripper, pen or a small ruler etc. Price of class includes pattern and boning. Participants will also need 2 fat quarters, 1/3 yd of fusible interfacing and crushed walnut shells which are available in the store for 15% off. First session will be instructional, second session for additional help or to finish your project. Participants must bring their own sewing machine to sew on.

Alzheimer's Longest Day Fundraiser

The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

At Marie's we have created a Fidget Blanket kit with everything you need to assemble one. You can give to someone you know or donate to an Alzheimer's facility or charity. For every kit sold we will donate $10 to the Alzheimer's Association.
